Mid-Week Inspiration Using March SOTM

Happy Wednesday All!

I sure hope your week is going well.

You do know SOTM right? SOTM is Stamp of the Month. AND if you start playing along, it's FREE! That is how I found this company, years ago and I've loved them ever since.  So, go to the March SOTM link - HERE and play along.

I thought I'd use the March SOTM Image Easter Trio in two, pretty clean & simple (CAS) cards. I colored them exactly the same way and I like their brightness.

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic & Tria Letraset Markers. Paper: base is PTI.  Ribbon: Stampin Up! Yellow. Other Embellishments – The Paper Studio Flowers.

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic & Tria Letraset Markers. Paper: base is PTI.  Ribbon: Stampin Up! CeleryGreen. Other Embellishments – K&Co Flower.

You have a few days to create a card and link up. I'd LOVE to see what you make. And if you do participate, please come back and leave me a comment AND I will come check your card out. I always love new inspiration!

As always, thanks for stopping by.

Hugs & Blessings,

i {heart} Card Sketches with a tWiSt – # No. 101

Happy Sunday All,

This evening my card was made using i {heart} Card Sketches with a tWiSt – # No. 101.

If you don't know From the Heart Stamps Faithful Friends series, GET TO KNOW THEM! I love them. And I used Peace Like a River in this card!

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic Markers. Paper: base is PTI.  The sparkly paper mat around the image and sentiment is PTI as well. The chevron DP is from the We R Memory Keepers, Feeling Groovy Pad.  Ribbon: Stampin Up! Yellow. Other Embellishments – I used a flower punch and put a small blue crystal in each flower center.

And if you want to know the truth, the base was teal paper, but if you look real close you will see black, because this genius (that's me) was not paying attention and put the whole card together upside down.

I hope you like the card AND that you participated in the sketch. There will be a new one announced tomorrow on the From the Heart Stamps Blog!

Hugs & Blessings,

Mo's Digital Pencil - Aashi in a Sari

Happy Wednesday All!

I have a friend who did something special for me and this is the card I made her.

I love Mo's Digital Pencil. I mean Maurie (the lady behind Mo's) is one of the best illustrators around (IMHO). So, I took the image, and I basically used her colored image to make mine.

Aashi in a Sari

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic Markers. Paper: base is PTI. Blue DP is from my scrap box. The polka dot DP is from the Doodle Bug Designs Sweetheart Pad.  Ribbon: PTI Satin. Other Embellishments – No. 11 Essentials Flowers and a teal sparkly spot for the middle.

Isn't she darling?  I hope my friend likes it.

I hope you like it too.

Hugs & Blessings,

FTHS March Blog Hop - " Going Green"

Happy Friday all!

And welcome to my blog. I'm so excited... This month Sarah and I are guest designers for From the Heart Stamps. I know she is as excited as I am. I hope you are having a wonderful day and are ready to see some beautiful things...

Without further ado, I'd like to welcome you to the From the Heart Stamps blog hop. Our theme this month is “Going Green”. You either use the color green (any shade of green) OR use something recycled on your card/project. Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on EACH ENTRY. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS shop. And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $15 gift voucher to the store!

If you have arrived from From the Heart Stamps Blog, you are in the right place. I am the second stop and that is the post that kicked off the hop.

Today I'm sharing two cards with you. In the first card, I used Lucky Birdbrain Chick.  The first picture is the front of the card. The second is the inside.

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic Markers. Paper: base is PTI. DP is from my scrap box. Ribbon: PTI Satin. Other Embellishments – The Paper Studio Green Flower, that I made into a four leaf clover, and various green buttons.

Recycled Item: I have to say, neither of the sentiments are from the set. I recycled sentiments I printed I don't know how long ago. I keep my printed sentiments in a box, organized by event.

For my second card, I used Birdbrain Needs Coffee. I love her because she's wearing green, sparkly eyeshadow. I may or may not have worn similar in my day (you're welcome). And I am a coffee person... so I relate to this card. It may as well be me!

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic Markers & White Gel Pen. Paper: base is PTI. DP is from We R Memory Keepers, Feeling Groovy Pad. Ribbon:  Coffee Bean that I found on a ribbon site six years ago (I wish I could remember which). Other Embellishments – Stickles and paper piercing.

Now head over to Sarah's Blog and see what she created. *** Link is now directly to her blog post!

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday, March 9th, 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday, March 11th.

Many blessings to you and thank you for visiting my blog.

i {heart} Card Sketches with a tWiSt – # No. 99

Happy Monday ALL!

I am thrilled to be a guest designer this month along with Sarah. As you all know, this is one of my favorite Stamp companies.

Today, I am bringing you the new Sketch with a tWiSt. You can find the fantastic DT examples HERE! My example is there too. YAY!

Here is the sketch:
Here is my take on it:

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic Markers. Paper: base is PTI. DP is from the Basic Grey Wisteria Pad. Ribbon: I am unsure. Other Embellishments – The Paper Studio Flowers.

I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not great at circles and images. To me (the way my brain works), it doesn't always turn out right. However, I really do like how this turned out.

Also - in the interest of full disclosure, my hubby and I really enjoy a good glass of wine. So this is one of my favorite images.

Listen, you all have a great day. Many blessings to you!

The Stamping Boutique - February Challenge

Happy Sunday All.

We are iced in around here... today in my house we will be painting peg dolls. We hope to go to Mass... AND I hope to bake some bread. Dinner will be Shepherds Pie... and life is GOOOD! How is your day going?

For the February Challenge on the Stamping Boutique FaceBook Page, we had to use glitter on an image. I think I did a great job of that. Bling!

The image is Rose. She is a pretty ballerina. I have used her before.
And, here is a closeup of her. I added a crystal to the bling-ish head piece.

Card Recipe ~ Ink: Copic Markers. Paper: PTI Kraft. Celery colored paper is Stampin Up! and the other is scrap paper. Ribbon: PTI. Other Embellishments – Stickles, a clear crystal, and K&Co. flowers.

I don't often say this, but I just love how this turned out.

I hope and pray your day is great - wherever you are.
